Awake: Stillness and Movement
9 Week Committed Group
with David Denis & Layah Jane
Wed Oct 7-Dec 2, 2015
The Creation Lab (720 Bathurst Street, Suite 402)
In order to understand the dance one must be still. And in order to truly understand stillness one must dance. ~ Rumi
In this committed weekly group, we will integrate the stillness of mindfulness meditation with the movement practice of the 5Rhythms. Mindfulness is a state of being where we are in contact with the present moment; just as it is. Through both 5Rhythms dance and meditation we learn ways of opening to the full experience of each moment, cutting through our habits of limiting, judging, or disconnecting. These practices are rooted in long traditions that lead us on a path towards a more connected, open-hearted, and peaceful life.
Early Bird (before Sept 16): $320
Regular (after Sept 16): $350*
